Job Role - Revit Guru

Thanks for your interest in this job role. We are excited to find the right person to bring into the Strongwork Architecture Team.

A good candidate for this role would:

  • Have 3+ years’ experience in the field of architecture working on project teams in an architectural office.

  • Be highly skilled in creating architectural models and documents in AutoDesk Revit

  • Be proficient in BIM Collaborate Pro and other file sharing platforms

  • Be willing to learn and adapt to the “Strongwork way” while also providing advice on how to optimize Strongwork processes

  • Be open to a part-time or full time-ish flexible schedule.

  • Be excited about a fully remote position with once monthly in-person get-togethers

A bit more about the role:

1.     This person is the single point of accountability for the

a.     Creation of thorough, high quality, models and project drawings in Revit and other software. “Accountability” does not mean that the person is responsible for KNOWING everything about every detail, but rather is responsible for making sure that the drawings are reviewed and check off by other staff members that KNOW everything about every detail.

b. Being a resource for Revit trouble shooting and research for current Revit capabilities and best-practices

c. Guiding the firm on how to use Revit to its full potential

4.     Communications/Team Meetings

a.     Reports to – Project Architect/Project Manager/Senior Architect

b.     Monday morning meetings – All staff

c.     Project meetings – project team

d.     Other meetings and communication as needed

e. Once monthly in-person staff get togethers

f. Quarterly performance reviews

5.     Other role description, general tasks, and responsibilities

a.     This person must be detail oriented, highly self-motivated, and receptive to mentorship and constructive criticism.

c.     This person must be curious and a constant learner, but also know when to ask questions.

d.     This person must be extremely skilled in Revit.

e.     The person in this role will often exist in a “person of all trades” capacity. Other responsibilities may include:

  • Minor IT troubleshooting

  • Errands

  • Meeting coordination, preparation

  • Meeting notes, taking, typing, and formatting

  • Various word processing and organizational tasks

  • What else?
